Necropolitical witnesses: psychosocial implications of juvenile homicides in their mothers' daily life

According to the Atlas of Violence (2017), between 2005 and 2015, 318,000 young people were victims of homicide in the national territory. In addition, the northeastern homicide has been observed in the country, given the high and increasing rates of juvenile homicides in this region, having stood out for being above the national average. The northeastern states showed growth over 100% in homicide rates. In this context, Ceará presented homicide growth rate of 122.8% between 2005 and 2015, and Fortaleza recorded, for the second consecutive time, the highest rate of Homicide in Adolescence, presenting, in 2014 a rate three times higher than the country's average. In addition, the massacres have been constantly manifested in the capital of Ceará, acting as an emblem of the transformations of the dynamics of urban violence and the intensification of juvenile homicides. The extermination of young people is linked to various issues, such as racism, criminalization of poverty and social exclusion, causing black and poor youth to be produced as a kind of internal enemy to be annihilated. In this work, the phenomenon of the intensification of homicides of adolescents and young people in Ceará is taken as an emblem of necropolitics. Mothers fall into regimes of perverse (in) visibility similar to what happens to their children, which acts in the legitimacy of juvenile deaths and silencing of their sufferings. Given this scenario, we start from the following question: considering the context of the city of Fortaleza, what are the psychosocial implications of youth homicide in their mothers' daily life? Considering these issues, this paper aims to analyze the psychosocial implications of youth homicides in their mothers' daily lives in the context of Fortaleza. Its specific objectives are: to know the narratives about juvenile homicides produced by mothers of young people murdered in the capital of Ceará; discuss the repercussions caused by the homicide of young people in their mothers' daily life and identify strategies produced by these women to deal with the loss of their children. We use cartography as a method of research intervention research. This paper is theoretically anchored in social psychology references that discuss topics such as violence and youth, in their dialogues with authors such as Mbembe, Foucault, Deleuze, Guattari, Agamben. and Butler. The discussions are also guided from the psychosocial and intersectional approaches. Mothers of young murdered participated in this study. The inhabited existential territories were the Grande Bom Jardim and the Fóum Popular de Segurança Pública (FPSP), through which we had acess to two mothers’s organized collectives: Mães do Curió and “ Vozes de Mães e Familiares do Socioeducativo e Prisional do Ceará’. The selection criterion for choosing Grande Bom Jardim was because it is among the territories with the highest homicide rates. As methodological strategies, interviews and field diaries were used. Regarding the method of data analysis, the Cartographic Analysis was chosen.Segundo o Atlas da Violência (2017), entre os anos de 2005 e 2015, 318 mil jovens foram vítimas de homicídio no território nacional. Além disso, tem-se observado a nordestinação dos homicídios no País, haja vista as elevadas e crescentes taxas de homicídios juvenis nesta região, tendo se destacado por serem superiores à média nacional. Os estados nordestinos apresentaram crescimento superior a 100% nos índices de homicídios. Nesse quadro, o Ceará apresentou taxa de crescimento de homicídios de 122,8% entre os anos de 2005 e 2015, e Fortaleza registrou, pela segunda vez consecutiva, o maior índice de Homicídio na Adolescência (IHA), apresentando, em 2014, índice de 10,94, taxa três vezes maior que a média do País. Ademais, as chacinas têm se manifestado de forma constante na Capital cearense, atuando como um emblema das transformações da dinâmica da violência urbana e da intensificação dos homicídios juvenis. O extermínio de jovens articula-se a diversas questões, como racismo, criminalização da pobreza e exclusão social, fazendo com que as juventudes negras e pobres sejam produzidas como uma espécie de inimigo interno a ser aniquilado. Toma-se, neste trabalho, o fenômeno da intensificação dos homicídios de adolescentes e jovens no Ceará, como um emblema da necropolítica. Às mães recaem regimes de (in)visibilidade perversa de modo semelhante ao que ocorre com seus filhos, o que atua na legitimidade das mortes juvenis e silenciamento de seus sofrimentos. Frente a esse panorama, partimos da seguinte pergunta: considerando o contexto da cidade de Fortaleza, quais as implicações psicossociais do homicídio de jovens no cotidiano de suas mães? Considerando-se essas questões, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo geral analisar implicações psicossociais dos homicídios de jovens no cotidiano de suas mães no contexto de Fortaleza. Seus objetivos específicos buscam: conhecer as narrativas sobre homicídios juvenis produzidas por mães de jovens assassinados na capital cearense; discutir repercussões ocasionadas pelo homicídio de jovens no cotidiano das mães e identificar estratégias produzidas por essas mulheres para lidar com a perda dos filhos. Para isso, metodologicamente, utilizamos a cartografia como método de pesquisa-inter(in)venção e nos ancoramos teoricamente em referenciais da psicologia social que discutem temas como violências e juventudes, em seus diálogos com autores como Mbembe, Foucault, Deleuze, Guattari, Agamben e Butler. As discussões são norteadas também a partir dos enfoques psicossocial e interseccional. Participaram deste estudo mães de jovens assassinados. Os territórios existenciais habitados foram o Grande Bom Jardim e o Fórum Popular de Segurança Pública do Ceará (FPSP), por meio do qual se acessou mães dos coletivos organizados ‘Mães do curió’ e ‘Vozes de Mães e Familiares do Socioeducativo e Prisional do Ceará’. O critério de seleção para escolha do Grande Bom Jardim se deu por este figurar entre os territórios com mais altas taxas de homicídio. Como estratégias metodológicas, foram utilizadas entrevista e diários de campo. Quanto ao método de análise de dados, optou-se pela Análise Cartográfica
