This work is the result of the Masters Dissertation in the PPGEA - Graduate Program in Agricultural Education, UFRRJ - Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. Its main objective is to understand the context of the emergence and supply of rural education in Brazil and its main contrasts with the education of the countryside, in a close articulation with the peasant social movements.
