Is there non-linearity i9n the convergence of prices for agricultural markets in Brazil? BRAZIL?

This paper explores the methods for testing unit roots with Threshold Autoregressive (TAR) for panel data, with emphasis on the econometric technique elaborated by Beyaert and Camacho (2008) and adapted for the Brazilian agricultural sector by Tabosa, Ferreira and Castelar (2014). Therefore, if the Single Price Law is established, it is said that there is convergence of prices in the various markets analyzed, implying that prices converge to a given steady state, in other words, a long-term equilibrium price. The first tests do not reject the null hypothesis that the model to be estimated is linear (Evans-Karras model). The results pointed to markets that converge in the long run.O presente artigo explanou acerca dos métodos para testes de raízes unitárias com efeito limiar (TAR) aplicado a dados em painel, com ênfase na técnica econométrica elaborada por Beyaert e Camacho (2008) e adaptada para o setor do tomate no Brasil por Tabosa, Ferreira e Castelar (2014). Diante disso, caso constatada a Lei do Preço Único, diz-se que ocorre convergência dos preços nos diversos mercados analisados, indicando que os preços convergem para um dado estado estacionário, ou seja, um preço de equilíbrio de longo prazo.
