Transversal - Revista em Tradução, Fortaleza, v. 3, n. 5, p. 32-49, 2017.This article deals with one of the branches of Accessible Audiovisual Translation, which promotes a sociocultural form of accessibility to people with hearing impairment: Subtitling for the deaf and the hard-of-hearing (SDH).Its main goal was to present the analysis of the linguistic segmentation problems found in the SDH of the Brazilian Soap Opera "Cheias de Charme", having as theoretical foundation the Translation Studies, more specifically, Audiovisual Translation (AVT).The linguistic segmentation problems are inappropriate divisions in one subtitle and they can occur between lines and, or between subtitles. They also can occur in levels of phrases and clauses.The subtitles were extracted from five chapters of „Cheias de Charme‟, broadcasted by the Brazilian TV channel Rede Globo de Televisão. This corpus is a subcorpus of the project entitled The segmentation in the Subtitling for the deaf and the hard-of-hearing (SDH): a corpus based study (CORSEL Project), developed by the Subtitling and Audiodescription group (LEAD) in the Ceara State University and coordinated by the Professor Dra. Vera Lúcia Santiago Araújo. The research in its totality resulted in important quantitative data, corroborating the results of other studies, such as those of Chaves (2012) and Assis (2013), identifying a greater frequency of LSE segmentation problems in types of verb phrase and noun phrase in high-speed subtitles. In this article, we present a qualitative reflection on theses finding, describing and analyzing the problems of segmentation, and presenting some possible ways to rebuilt them, in such a way that they could be fit into the technical and linguistic parameters of SDH.Este artigo trata de um dos ramos da Tradução Audiovisual acessível (TAVa) promove uma forma de acessibilidade sociocultural às pessoas com deficiência auditiva, através da Legendagem para Surdos e Ensurdecidos (LSE), a partir dessa assertiva, o presente artigo apresenta uma reflexão sobre os resultados da pesquisa sobre segmentação na LSE. O trabalho focalizou os problemas de segmentação linguística (PROSEGL) encontrados na LSE da telenovela brasileira Cheias de Charme, tendo como base teórico-metodológica os estudos da tradução, mais especificamente a tradução audiovisual (TAV). Os problemas de segmentação linguística são divisões inapropriadas dentro de uma legenda e podem ocorrer entre linhas e, ou entre legendas. Esses problemas também ocorrem dentro dos tipos de sintagmas, como verbal e nominal. A pesquisa analisou as legendas de cinco capítulos da telenovela brasileira Cheias de Charme, exibida pela emissora brasileira Rede Globo de Televisão.Esse corpus é um subcorpus do projeto intitulado “A segmentação na legendagem para surdos e ensurdecidos (LSE): um estudo baseado em corpus” (Projeto CORSEL), desenvolvido pelo grupo Legendagem e Audiodescrição (LEAD) da Universidade Estadual do Ceará (UECE) coordenados pela Profa. Dra. Vera Lúcia Santiago Araújo. A pesquisa em sua totalidade resultou em importantes dados quantitativos, corroborando os resultados de outras pesquisas, como as de Chaves (2012) e Assis (2013), identificando uma maior frequência de problemas de segmentação em LSE nos tipos de sintagma verbal e sintagma nominal em legendas com alta velocidade. Neste artigo, apresentamos uma reflexão qualitativa, descrevendo, analisando e apresentando algumas formas de reconstruí-la, de tal forma que elas pudessem estar adequadas aos parâmetros técnicos e linguísticos da LSE
