Avaliação de previsões de deslocamento e carga de ruptura horizontal utilizando estacas escavadas de tamanho reduzido em perfil de solo areno-siltoso

The foundations are structural elements that make up the infrastructure of the engineering works and have as main function the transmission of the requests coming from the supported structure (superstructure) to the ground in order to guarantee the stability and functionality of the same. In conventional foundation designs, such as building foundation designs, for example, only the vertical loads for load capacity and rebound calculations are generally considered. This is because the reticulated structure of these buildings, composed of monolithic beams and pylons, and the bracing structures usually contemplated in the project are sufficient to withstand the stresses caused by the horizontal loads resulting from the wind. However, in the case of foundations of bridges and foundations of machines, for example, these loads should be considered and the displacements, estimated by means of analytical methods. In addition, the bursting load must also be estimated to check for horizontal rupture safety. The present work evaluates the precision of the methods most used in the practice of projects of this nature. For this purpose, 12 cuttings of small diameter and length, isolated and in group, with block and without block of crown, were performed in the experimental field of geotechnics and foundations of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), which were submitted to tests load test. Results of horizontal load tests performed on two 600 mm diameter continuous propeller piles were also used. From the results of laboratory and field tests, the bursting load and the displacements of the excavated piles executed, as well as of the aforementioned continuous propeller piles were predicted. The results of the predictions were compared with the results obtained from horizontal load tests (PCH's). Finally, from the results of the SHPs, values ​​of the horizontal reaction coefficient (kh) and the rate of variation of this coefficient with the depth (nh) were determined. The predictions of the horizontal displacements made were, in general, overestimated. On the other hand, the rupture load predictions were in agreement with the results of the SHPs performed. Finally, the values ​​of kh and nh determined by SHPs presented a wide range of variation and were compared with values ​​of kh and nh estimated from the NSPT.As fundações são elementos estruturais que compõem a infraestrutura das obras de engenharia e têm como principal função a transmissão das solicitações provenientes da estrutura suportada (superestrutura) para o solo de modo a garantir a estabilidade e funcionalidade da mesma. Em projetos convencionais de fundações, como no caso de projetos de fundações de edifícios, por exemplo, geralmente são considerados apenas os carregamentos verticais para os cálculos de capacidade de carga e de recalque. Isso ocorre porque a estrutura reticulada dessas edificações, composta por vigas e pilares ligados monoliticaente, e as estruturas de contraventamento usualmente contempladas no projeto são suficientes para suportar os esforços ocasionados pelos carregamentos horizontais resultantes da ação do vento. Entretanto, no caso de fundações de pontes e de fundações de máquinas, por exemplo, estes carregamentos devem ser considerados e os deslocamentos, estimados por meio de métodos analíticos. Além disso deve-se estimar também a carga de ruptura para verificar se há segurança quanto a ruptura horizontal. O presente trabalho avalia a precisão dos métodos mais utilizados na prática de projetos dessa natureza. Para isso, foram executadas, no campo experimental de geotecnia e fundações da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), 12 estacas, de pequeno diâmetro e comprimento, isoladas e em grupo, com bloco e sem bloco de coroamento, as quais foram submetidas a ensaios de prova de carga horizontal. Também foram utilizados resultados de provas de carga horizontais realizadas em duas estacas hélice contínuas de 600 mm de diâmetro. Foram previstas, a partir de resultados de ensaios de laboratório e de campo, a carga de ruptura e os deslocamentos das estacas escavadas executadas, bem como das estacas hélice contínuas mencionadas. Os resultados das previsões realizadas foram comparados com os resultados obtidos a partir das provas de carga horizontais (PCH’s). Por fim, a partir dos resultados das PCH’s, foram determinados valores do coeficiente de reação horizontal (kh) e da taxa de variação desse coeficiente com a profundidade (nh). As previsões dos deslocamentos horizontais efetuadas foram, de forma geral, superestimadas. Por outro lado, as previsões de carga de ruptura foram concordantes com os resultados das PCH’s realizadas. Por fim, os valores de kh e nh determinados pelas PCH’s apresentaram ampla faixa de variação e foram comparados com valores de kh e nh estimados a partir do NSPT
