Biodiversity of flora and fauna associated with the mangroves of Colombia

Arquivos de Ciências do Mar, Fortaleza, v. 48, n. 2, p. 85-92, dez. 2015.A representative sample of the current biodiversity found in the mangrove systems of Colombia is described in this article, analyzing the relative abundance of species in the different forests and making relevance on the most representative groups. The article focused on the composition of the flora and fauna, as well as the tensors and impacts that currently influence this ecosystem and their effects on the permanent and seasonal subsistence of these communities.Se presenta una muestra representativa de la biodiversidad existente en los manglares colombianos, analizando su abundancia relativa en los diferentes bosques y resaltando los grupos más representativos. Se destaca la composición florística y faunística, así como los tensores e impactos que actualmente se presentan en dichos ecosistemas y que condicionan la presencia permanente y estacional de dichas comunidades. Se exceptúan o excluyen de los listados las aves y los peces que son muy abundantes, estacionales e incidentales
