This paper aims to present the multidimensional poverty in Brazil, considering the years 2009 to 2015. Por both, was utilized the methodology of Bourguignon and Chakravarty (2003) which presents an alternative way to measure multidimensionality of poverty. With data removed from the National Survey by Household Sampling (PNAD), it was taken as a call reference approach of "Basics Needs" and the Theory of Capacitations, which defines poverty as a multidimensional phenomenon. The results of the six dimensions analyzed revealed a reduction in the proportion of multidimensional poor of Brazil's population, 22,56% in 2009 to 20,91% in 2015.
