Linguistic phenomena in the speech from the South of Goias: conditioning factors

Revista Entrepalavras, Fortaleza, ano 6, v. 6, n. 1, p. 97-109, jan./jun. 2016.Noting the current linguistic portrait of sulgoiana region, it is clear that three phenomena have shown a considerable number of occurrences, diphthongization, monophthongization and deletion of occlusive / d /. Based on this finding, we try to give an overview on this subject in our region and understand the facts that trigger these phenomena, together to determine the variants present in each case, and to review the theoretical concepts related to diphthong and monophthong. So, answer the following questions: What is the role of education variable in the deletion of dental / d / in the gerund? As such deletion can be justified? The variable gender/sex is a major factor in the formation of phenomena diphthongization and monophthongization in this region? We maintain our research on the assumptions Labovian sociolinguistic scholars of variational nature as Faraco and Tezza (1992) and Fiorin (2011) and grammar, Dubois (2000) and Cunha and Cintra (2013). When analyzing the data statistically, we observed that monophthongization was the most recurrent phenomenon in the speech samples that we had, with a percentage of 47% for high school and 39% for primary education II; the diphthongization presented a secondary index, with 23% for high school and 32% for primary education II. The deletion of occlusive / d / showed rate of 30% for high school and 29% for primary education II.Observando o atual retrato linguístico da região sulgoiana, percebese que três fenômenos têm apresentado um número considerável de ocorrências, ditongação, monotongação e apagamento da oclusiva /d/. Com base nessa constatação, procuramos traçar um panorama sobre o assunto em dois municípios de nosso estado e compreender os fatos que desencadeiam esses fenômenos, a par de determinar as variantes presentes em cada caso, além de rever os conceitos teóricos relacionados ao ditongo e monotongo. Assim, responderemos as seguintes questões: Qual o papel da variável escolaridade no apagamento da dental /d/ no gerúndio? Como tal apagamento pode ser justificado? A variável gênero/sexo é fator preponderante para a formação dos fenômenos de ditongação e monotongação no sulgoino? Sustentamos nossa pesquisa nos pressupostos de estudiosos da sociolinguística laboviana de cunho variacionista como, Faraco e Tezza (1992), Fiorin (2011) e da gramática, Dubois (2000) e Cunha e Cintra (2013). Ao analisarmos os dados estatisticamente, observamos que a monotongação foi o fenômeno mais recorrente nas amostras de fala de que dispúnhamos, com uma porcentagem de 47% para o Ensino médio e 39% para o Ensino fundamental II; a ditongação apresentou um índice secundário, com 23% para o Ensino médio e 32% para o Ensino fundamental II. Quanto ao apagamento da oclusiva /d/ houve um percentual de 30% para o Ensino médio e 29% para o Ensino fundamental II
