Analysis of didactic material of the degree course in physics of the federal university of ceará in the modality of distance education.

The main objective of this research is to analyze the didactical materials used in the Undergraduated Course in Physics, focusing the teachers formation, in semipresential modality, checking the contribution of each element involved in the didactic transition of the material, based on the opinions of the students. The course is offered by the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), with management of UFC Virtual Institute. Specifically, we chose to analyze the disciplines that work directly with the Physics contents: Physics I, Physics II, Physics III, Physics IV, Modern Physics Topics, beyond the initial subjects of Mathematics, Mathematics I and Mathematics II. These disciplines usually present large failure rates and, as they are prerequisites for other disciplines of the program, the failure of students causes a considerable damming. Consequently, a small number of students reach the conclusion of the course in regular time. Initially, a large literature search was conducted in journals, websites and conference proceedings, seeking to find some works that dealt specifically with teaching materials for distance education courses. The teaching material was analyzed thoroughly and, a questionnaire, based on the Likert Scale, was applied to the students that answered it on line. The questionnaire took into account the didactical resources and didactic transition, analyzing the contributions of each resource for understanding the content and student learning. For its tabulation, we used the Middle Ranking technique. Complementing the data collection, interviews were conducted with the students. Through the joint discussion of the results of online survey realized with the students, both, by the interviews, as by direct analysis of the teaching material, we present an overview that describes the didactical material used in the Semipresential Physics Course of UFC. In the end, are given guidances to the application of research tool in other subjects and courses in order to promote the replicability of the knowledge produced.O objetivo geral desta pesquisa é analisar o material didático utilizado no curso de Licenciatura em Física da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), através do Instituto UFC Virtual, na modalidade semipresencial, verificando a contribuição de cada elemento envolvido na transição didática do material tomando como base as opiniões dos próprios alunos. Especificamente, optou-se por analisar as disciplinas que trabalham diretamente com os conteúdos de Física: Física I, II Física, Física III Física IV, Tópicos de Física Moderna, além dos temas iniciais de Matemática: Matemática I e Matemática II. Essas disciplinas apresentam elevados índices de reprovação e, como são pré-requisitos para as demais disciplinas do curso, o insucesso dos alunos provoca um considerável represamento fazendo com que poucos cheguem à conclusão do curso no tempo regular. Em um primeiro momento, foi realizada pesquisa bibliográfica em revistas, periódicos, sites e anais de congressos, procurando localizar trabalhos que tratassem especificamente de materiais didáticos para cursos na modalidade de Educação a Distância. O material didático das disciplinas foi analisado e, a partir disto, foi elaborado um questionário baseado na Escala Likert, com aplicação online, respondido pelos próprios alunos. Esse questionário envolveu itens que englobaram os recursos didáticos e de transição didática analisando as contribuições de cada recurso para a compreensão dos conteúdos e a aprendizagem dos alunos. Para sua tabulação, foi utilizada a técnica do Ranking Médio. Complementando a coleta de dados, foram realizadas entrevistas com os alunos do curso de Licenciatura em Física. Através da discussão conjunta dos resultados da pesquisa online feita com os alunos, tanto pelas entrevistas, quanto pela análise direta do material didático, é apresentado um panorama que descreve o material didático do curso de Licenciatura em Física Semipresencial da UFC. Ao final, são apresentadas orientações para a aplicação do instrumental de pesquisa em outras disciplinas e cursos com o intuito de promover a replicabilidade do conhecimento produzido
