Sesame is the oldest known oleaginous. It has great economic importance for the high oil content in its seeds and its expandability, since their adaptation to soil and climate conditions of Brazilian semiarid region, which becomes a source of income for small and medium producers. However, to get a good production the use of high quality seeds is necessary. The physiological seed quality can be influenced by several factors, among which stands out the position of the fruit on the plant stem at harvest and water stress during production.
