The conquest of breastfeeding : the woman look

This work discusses the perceptions and experiences of the women who breastfed exclusively for a period of at least six months. In an attempt to find some responses, particularly with regard to the experiences of those mothers, we seek to portray their attitudes and the meaning that breastfeeding has for his mother, seeking to clarify what originated in the Group a predisposition to breastfeed exclusively. The study was conducted on the basis of the qualitative methodology, having been interviewed 13 mothers, whose speeches pointed important elements responsible for the successful breastfeeding. We have seen the complexity of the Act of breastfeeding, considered by many to be simple and can be experienced by all women and noted that the success of breastfeeding originated mainly, the meaning constructed by the same throughout your everyday life, absorbing and reinterpreting conceptions and experiences present before and during your experience in nursing. In addition, the motivation and perception of nursing process It is evidenced by experiences in the family, for building self-confidence and, primarily, strong determination to breastfeed, surpassing in this way, the different obstacles that present themselves to the conquest of breastfeeding.Este trabalho aborda as percepções e vivências das mulheres que amamentaram exclusivamente por um período mínimo de seis meses. Na tentativa de encontrar algumas respostas, sobretudo no que se refere às vivências dessas mães, buscamos retratar suas atitudes e o significado que a amamentação tem para a mãe, visando esclarecer o que originou no grupo a predisposição para amamentar exclusivamente. O estudo foi conduzido com base na metodologia qualitativa, tendo sido entrevistadas 13 mães, cujos discursos apontaram importantes elementos responsáveis pelo êxito na amamentação. Pudemos observar a complexidade do ato de amamentar, considerado por muitos como simples e possível de ser vivenciado por todas as mulheres e constatar que o sucesso da amamentação originou-se principalmente, no significado construído pelas mesmas durante toda a sua vida cotidiana, absorvendo e reinterpretando concepções e experiências presentes antes e durante a sua experiência em amamentar. Além disso, a motivação e percepção do processo de amamentar evidencia-se através de experiências na família, pela construção de auto-confiança e, principalmente, forte determinação para amamentar, superando dessa forma, os diferentes obstáculos que se apresentam para a conquista da amamentação
