Synthesis and Scheme: the faculty of imagination in CRP

The aim of this dissertation is investigate the capacity of imagination in work Kritik der reinen Vernunft (Critique of Pure Reason) by philosopher Immanuel Kant. For this purpose, the main chapters to be explored in mentioned work will be: Deduction of the pure concepts of understanding and Schematisms of the pure concepts of understanding. Through our first chapter we will note the action of imagination in three kinds of synthesis, namely, apprehension, reproduction and recognition. In the second chapter, we will note the position of the imagination en the second edition of Deduction of the pure concepts of understanding. Already the third chapter will have the function of explores the schemes as products of capacity to imagination that will serve to a best comprehension of the link between intuitions and concepts. We start from the synthetic activity of imagination which passes through the edition of 1981 of the mentioned work. From this, we analyze of the imagination in edition of 1987 and investigate the possible the similarities and differences between the two versions mentioned. Finally, we note the importance of the capacity to imagination to the constitution of the transcendental knowledge, which is the purpose of our research.O objetivo desta dissertação é investigar a faculdade de imaginação na obra Crítica da Razão Pura do filósofo Immanuel Kant. Para tanto, os principais capítulos a serem explorados da referida obra, serão: o da Dedução dos conceitos puros do entendimento e o do Esquematismo dos conceitos puros do entendimento. Através do nosso primeiro capítulo poderemos constatar a ação da imaginação em três tipos de síntese, a saber, apreensão, reprodução e recognição. No segundo capítulo, poderemos notar a posição da imaginação na segunda edição da Dedução dos conceitos puros do entendimento. Já o terceiro capítulo, terá como função explorar os esquemas, enquanto produtos da faculdade de imaginação, que servirá para uma melhor compreensão da ligação entre intuições e conceitos. Partimos, então, da atividade sintética da imaginação, que perpassa a edição de 1781 da referida obra. A partir disto, fazemos uma análise da imaginação na edição de 1787 investigando possíveis semelhanças e diferenças entre as duas versões citadas. Por fim, perceberemos a importância da faculdade de imaginação para a constituição do conhecimento transcendental, principal finalidade de nossa pesquisa
