Technology and rentability of variety corn of corn farmers in state of Ceará

The main objective of this study was to analyse the variety corn considering rentability and technology level, of the corn farmers in the state of Ceará. The data were obtained by interviewing corn producing farmers. Technology index for each technology as well as for all the technologies as a group, used by corn farmers, was calculated. The rentability indictors: gross profit, operational profit and profitability profit were determined. The technologies: weed control, seed quality and thinning of crop contributed more in the formation of general technology index of hybrid corn production, where as the technology of after harvesting had the lowest participation. The rentability indicators showed that the production of hybrid corn is profitable.O objetivo deste estudo é analisar os aspectos tecnológicos e rentabilidade do milho variedade cultivado na agricultura familiar no estado do Ceará. Os dados foram obtidos junto aos produtores de milho, em entrevistas diretas. Foram calculados índices tecnológicos de tecnologia e conjunto de tecnologias utilizadas pelos produtores. Calculou-se indicadores de rentabilidade: margem bruta, lucro operacional, índice de lucratividade. As tecnologias: controle do mato, qualidades das sementes e desbaste apresentaram maior contribuição ao índice tecnológico geral, tecnologia pós-colheita teve menor participação.
