Revista do LABOR, Fortaleza, v. 1, n. 2, p. 1-15, 2009.This paper discusses the structural crisis of the capital according to the conception of Hungarian philosopher István Mészáros, which arose in the 1970’s decade, which reached the whole society. Focuses too on the results in the formal education of the capital’s offensive, in face of the alluded crisis which includes the process of restructuration productive that requires a new kind of knowledge, more appropriated to the actual productive process, and the neoliberal policies that influenced negatively in the educational area by means of the accomplishment of educational reforms characterized by market’s values that contributed to change the education in a profitable field (mainly in higher education) with the consequent privatization and commoditization. Points towards the urgent necessity of enlarge fight strategies intending creates an emancipated society where there will be possible the existence of an integral education according to Marx’s conception.Este artigo discute a crise estrutural do capital, segundo a concepção do filósofo húngaro István Mészáros, a qual irrompeu na década de 1970 e que tem atingido toda sociedade. Enfoca, também, os resultados, na educação formal, da ofensiva do capital diante da aludida crise, a qual inclui o processo de reestruturação produtiva, o qual exige um trabalhador com um novo tipo de conhecimento, mais adequado ao processo produtivo vigente e as políticas neoliberais que influíram negativamente na área educacional, mediante a realização de reformas educacionais caracterizadas por valores mercantis, que contribuíram para transformar a educação em um campo lucrativo para o capital (principalmente no nível superior), com a conseqüente privatização e mercantilização da mesma. Aponta para a necessidade urgente de ampliação das estratégias de luta, com vistas à criação de uma sociedade emancipada, onde será possível a existência de uma educação integral, segundo a concepção marxiana
