Cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.), is very important crop for feeding the rural and urban populations of the tropical and subtropical areas of the world. The yield of that crop varies, mainly, because climate variations and of the use of low yield genetic materials with undesirable characteristics.
