O ensino e aprendizagem de música na Banda Marcial Padre Nicola Mazza: um estudo com os alunos egressos

This work is inserted in the field of Music Education, prioritizing the musical teaching- learning process in the context of social projects, having as a locus of research the Banda Marcial Padre Nicola Mazza, who is subordinate to the Associação Irmãs de Padre Mazza. The main purpose of this research was to understand the reasons that motivated the students to decide to follow the path of music as a profession. The restlessness arose from the significant number of students, of the said martial band, whose main source of income is work originating from music. This research represents a qualitative case study. The data collection procedures were the semistructured interview and documentary source. The research was theoretically based on bibliographical readings about Education, focusing on Musical Education in social projects, Sociology of music and related areas. The results revealed that there was a combination of factors that contributed to the decision of some graduating students to become music professionals, such as the developed musical practice, the motivation, the religious and ideological charisma of the institution.NenhumaEste trabalho está inserido no campo da Educação Musical, priorizando o processo de ensino- aprendizagem musical no contexto dos projetos sociais, tendo como locus de pesquisa a Banda Marcial Padre Nicola Mazza, que é subordinada à Associação Irmãs de Padre Mazza. O objetivo principal desta investigação foi compreender as razões que motivaram os alunos egressos a decidirem seguir o caminho da música como profissão. A inquietação surgiu a partir do número significativo de alunos egressos, da referida banda marcial, que tem como sua principal fonte de renda o trabalho oriundo da música. Essa pesquisa representa um estudo de caso, de caráter qualitativo. Os procedimentos de levantamento dos dados foram a entrevista semiestruturada e fonte documental. A pesquisa foi fundamentada teoricamente em leituras bibliográficas sobre a Educação, com foco em Educação Musical nos projetos sociais, Sociologia da Música e áreas afins. Os resultados revelaram que houve uma combinação de fatores que contribuíram para a decisão de alguns alunos egressos se tornarem profissionais da música, tais como: a prática musical desenvolvida, a motivação, o carisma religioso e ideológico da instituição
