Reflexões sobre a análise e práticas sociais escolas de Campina grande

The teaching of Portuguese is increasingly becoming topic of discussion in the Applied Linguistics area, and it is, as such, one of the most recurring themes in the Brazilian educational scenery. These discussions refer to the need of change in the classroom routine, in which language is studied in an unarticulated way with regard to usage and reflection. In this context, the Linguistic Analysis methodological proposal emerges as a teaching alternative, and, associating reading and writing practices, allows for reflection about linguistic usages. This way, the general objective of this dissertation is to reflect upon the perception that the 21 teachers participants of the research have about their Linguistic Analysis teaching practices in 9 Campina Grande schools, 6 of which are public schools (3 administrated by the city hall, and 3 by the State government), and 3 that are private. Specifically, the objectives are: Investigating the concept of Linguistic Analysis adopted by the aforementioned city‟s teachers; observing if they put in practice the concept of Linguistic Analysis in their classes; investigating, in case it is not put into practice, the factors that interfere in the non-teaching of linguistic guidelines, and verifying if the teacher‟s profile (educational level and teaching experience time) interferes in the Linguistic Analysis accomplishment. The dissertation corpus comprises a questionnaire with eight questions about teacher‟s education, grammar and Linguistic Analysis. For the execution of this corpus study, we established as theoretical grounds the concept notions of grammar, Linguistic Analysis, and teacher training (GERALDI, 1984, 1997; POSSENTI, 1996; COSTA VAL, 2002; NEVES, 2002; PERFEITO, 2005; MENDONÇA, 2006; TRAVAGLIA, 2009; BEZERRA e REINALDO 2012). With this study, we observed that teachers do not know the concept of Linguistic Analysis in depth, since most of them do not apply it in their classes, substituting it by the more traditional grammatical orientation. Besides this, we noticed that the teacher‟s profile does not interfere in the Linguistic Analysis teaching. We realized that the main factor that interferes in this picture is the concept of Linguistic Analysis as a synonym of norm. This way, we believe this dissertation can contribute for perfecting classroom practices, particularly with regard to the teaching of grammar.O ensino de Língua Portuguesa tem sido alvo, cada vez mais, de discussões na área da Linguística Aplicada e constitui, assim, uma das temáticas mais recorrentes no cenário educacional brasileiro. Tais discussões versam sobre a necessidade de mudança na prática constante de sala de aula, em que a língua é estudada de forma desarticulada do uso e reflexão. Nesse contexto, a proposta metodológica de Análise Linguística surge como alternativa para o ensino, uma vez que, associada às práticas de leitura e escrita, possibilita a reflexão sobre os usos linguísticos. Desse modo, o objetivo geral desta dissertação é refletir sobre a percepção que os 21 professores participantes da pesquisa têm sobre a prática de Análise Linguística em 9 escolas de Campina Grande, sendo 3 municipais, 3 estaduais e 3 particulares. E, de modo específico, seus objetivos são: Investigar a concepção de Análise Linguística adotada pelos professores da cidade mencionada, averiguar se eles vivenciam o conceito de Análise Linguística em suas aulas, investigar, caso a Análise Linguística não seja posta em prática, os fatores que interferem para que o ensino de conhecimentos linguísticos não se faça orientado por ela e verificar se o perfil do professor (nível de escolarização e tempo de docência ) interfere na realização de Análise Linguística. O corpus da dissertação é formado por um questionário, composto por oito questões relacionadas aos conhecimentos sobre a formação do professor, gramática e Análise Linguística. Para a realização do estudo de tal corpus, estabelecemos como base teórica as noções dos conceitos de gramática, Análise Linguística e formação de professor (GERALDI, 1984, 1997; POSSENTI, 1996; COSTA VAL, 2002; NEVES, 2002; PERFEITO, 2005; MENDONÇA, 2006; TRAVAGLIA, 2009; BEZERRA e REINALDO 2012). Com o estudo realizado, percebemos que os professores não conhecem com profundidade o conceito de Análise Linguística, haja vista que a maioria não a realiza em suas aulas, substituindo-a pela orientação da gramática tradicional. Além disso, verificamos que o perfil do professor não interfere no ensino de Análise Linguística. Percebemos que o principal fator que interfere nesse quadro é a concepção de Análise Linguística como sinônimo de norma. Dessa forma, acreditamos que esta dissertação pode contribuir para o funcionamento das práticas de sala de aula e, particularmente, no que diz respeito ao ensino da gramática
