Da conivência ao despertar militante: o movimento universitário na cidade de Campina Grande PB (1964 1968)

This research addresses the role of the university movement in the city of Campina Grande - PB, during the first phase of the military dictatorship (1964/1968). The theme relates to the Research Line Regional History Program Undergraduate History UFPB in concentration area History and Historical Culture. The study addresses the influences campinenses appropriated by militants, who led them in times of repression, to confront the government and the ideas advocated by them. As the Government did not give up his attempt to inhibit the student demonstrations, which were strengthened with the support of popular students campinenses also embarked on this fight. Thus, we analyze the university of Campina Grande mediate-1968 until the publication of the Institutional Act Number Five, highlighting the strength of correlations between the military police and university campinenses. As a theoretical basis, we use the concept of political culture, political history and the new concepts of the new cultural history, as representation, tactics, among others. The sources used were extracted from research papers, oral reports, official documents and works of historiography and Brazilian Paraiba.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESA presente pesquisa aborda a atuação do movimento universitário na cidade de Campina Grande PB, durante a primeira fase da ditadura militar (1964/1968). O tema se insere na Linha de Pesquisa História Regional do Programa de Pós-graduação em História da UFPB, na área de concentração História e Cultura Histórica. O estudo trata das influências apropriadas pelos militantes campinenses, que os levaram, em tempos de repressão, a enfrentar o Governo e das bandeiras defendidas por eles. Como o Governo não desistia do seu intento de inibir as mobilizações estudantis, que se fortaleciam com o apoio de populares, os estudantes campinenses também enveredaram nessa luta. Assim, analisamos o movimento universitário campinense do mediato-1968 até a publicação do Ato Institucional número cinco, destacando as correlações de força entre a Polícia Militar e os universitários campinenses. Como fundamentação teórica, utilizamos o conceito de cultura política, da nova história política e conceitos da nova história cultural, como representação, táticas, entre outros. As fontes utilizadas foram extraídas de pesquisa em jornais, relatos orais, documentos oficiais e obras da historiografia brasileira e paraibana
