This study aims to examine the Human Right to Development in the current Brazilian context, unfolding it from the perspective of national and local interests. Although internationally recognized such a right - that reflects the dialogue between development and human rights - finds still many challenges on its configuration and implementation. The approach of the Right to Development is focused in the context of indigenous peoples. To this end, the study relies on theories of intercultural dialogue, which propose the overcoming of the polarization between universalism versus cultural relativism, considering the application of human rights in contexts of cultural diversity.
