Identidades e fragmentação: estórias de uma história n’Apocalipse dos predadores

This essay analyzes the book The Predators Apocalipse (PA), by the Mozambican writer Adelino Timóteo, in a perspective that crosses literature and other knowledge from a deconstructionist approach. For a better understanding of the contribution of different areas of the literature, some elements of the History and Anthropology of Mozambique are presented in order to the apprehend the socio-political and anthropological representations through the stories in PA. The text includes the following sections: a brief introduction, the biography of the author, and a book review of the literary genre of PA; a historical and cultural characterization of Mozambique in colonial and postcolonial periods and the interpretation of the book, based on the external elements of literature.Este ensaio analisa a obra literária Apocalipse dos Predadores (AP), do escritor moçambicano Adelino Timóteo, numa perspectiva que cruza a literatura e outros saberes, a partir de uma abordagem desconstrucionista1. Para melhor se compreender o contributo que pode ser trazido por essas áreas diferentes da literatura, apresentam-se alguns elementos da História e da Antropologia de Moçambique, que permitem a apreensão de representações sócio-políticas e antropológicas nas estórias em AP. Compõem este texto as seguintes secções: uma breve introdução, a biografia do autor da obra em análise e uma revisão da literatura sobre o género literário de AP; uma caracterização Histórico-cultural de Moçambique, antes e depois da independência e a interpretação da obra à luz de elementos exteriores à literatura.
