Reflexividade e Jornalismo: algumas aproximações

In this article we utilize the concept of reflexivity, proposed by Anthony Giddens, in order to understand some of the conditions that involve the relationships between journalism and society in the domain of modernity. The first movement takes place around the notion of reflexivity, needed for the comprehension of the transformations that modernity has gone through. In a second movement, we take as reference the concepts of noticeability, agenda setting and framing, fundamental for the comprehension of journalism, including the multiple negotiations undertaken by the social actors. In the sequence, we identify how reflexivity is a concept that lends itself to a methodological dimension in making explicit the means under which the media, and particularly journalism, interact with the social complex.Neste artigo utilizamos o conceito de reflexividade, proposto por Anthony Giddens, para compreendermos algumas das condições que envolvem as relações entre jornalismo e sociedade em condições de modernidade. O primeiro movimento se dá em torno da noção de reflexividade, conceito tido por Giddens como fundamental para a compreensão das transformações pelas quais tem passado a modernidade. Em um segundo momento, tomamos como referência os conceitos de noticiabilidade, agendamento e enquadramento, fundamentais para a compreensão do jornalismo, inclusive as muitas negociações que os atores sociais com ele empreendem. Na seqüência, identificamos como a reflexividade é um conceito que se presta a uma dimensão metodológica na explicitação dos modos como a mídia, e particularmente o jornalismo, interagem com o conjunto social
