In this article we utilize the concept of reflexivity, proposed by Anthony Giddens, in order to understand some of the conditions that involve the relationships between journalism and society in the domain of modernity. The first movement takes place around the notion of reflexivity, needed for the comprehension of the transformations that modernity has gone through. In a second movement, we take as reference the concepts of noticeability, agenda setting and framing, fundamental for the comprehension of journalism, including the multiple negotiations undertaken by the social actors.
