No. of bitstreams: 1 161213.pdf: 4310854 bytes, checksum: 57d994b5e1da42937523f90f621e9ca4 (MD5) Previous issue date: 1984-11Estuda-se a aplicabilidade da “Função Decrescimento Aleatório” na detecção de falhas em sistemas mecânicos lineares e a sensibilidade desta função ã variação de parâmetros de medição, tais como: posição do acelerômetro, faixa de frequência, nível de seleção, número de amostras, etc. Utiliza-se um sistema contínuo viga engastada – livre com excitação na extremidade, desenvolvendo-se o estudo teórico segundo as teorias de Euler e de Timoshenko, com variação dos parâmetros massa-mola na extremidade livre da viga, analisando-se assim a sensibilidade te6rica dos primeiros modos naturais. Apresenta-se a fundamentação teórica da função de crescimento aleatório, para sistemas a um grau de liberdade e para sistemas contínuos. Finalmente determinam-se experimentalmente, para o sistema viga engastada-livre com excitador na extremidade, Assinaturas Decrescimento Aleatório que indicam o nível de seleção, número e tamanho de amostras e a sensibilidade a variação de falhas, além de aferir a repetibilidade destas assinaturas.The applicability of the "Random Decrement Function" to the detection of failures in linear mechanical systems is studied together with its sensitivity to the variations of measurement parameter such as, accelerometer position, frequency range, threshold level, number of samples. A continuous system consisting of a cantilever beam excited at its end has been studied. The sensitivity of the first natural modes under variation of the spring-mass characteristics at the end, is obtained, using Euler and Timoshenko theories. The theorectical basis for the Randon Decrement Function is presented to single degree of freedom and continuous systems. Experimentally obtained Random Decrement Signatures for the cantilever beam excited at the end indicate the convenient threshold level, number and size of samples, the sensitivity to failures, and also verify the repeatability of these signatures
