This work aims to evaluate the influence of shading and depth seeding on seedling emergence, growth and standard of quality seedlings of paricá (Huber ex Ducke Schizolobium amazonicum), a species native to the Amazon economic value. The study was conducted in the nursery of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Federal Rural University of Amazon in Belém, Pará (10 28'0 "S, 480 27'0" W). The experiment followed a design statistician in randomized block split plot with four replications, and plots were recorded by shading levels obtained with shading screen (30%, 50% and 70%) and full sun, and subplots by sowing depths (1.0 cm 2.0 cm).
