Viability of a clam culture phase in the intertidal zone is reported in this work. We propose the application of clam growing techniques to sowing at high densities (up to 6000 ud/m2) in order to obtain larger size seeds than usual. Larger size initial seed reduces sowing mortality in the ground plots and restocking; besides, it increases the economic yield for clam growing.
