This document presents the information obtained in an initial survey conducted in La Vega de Granada during the years 2010-2011, with the purpose of obtaining information about farmer´s irrigation and N fertilization management in this Nitrate Vulnerable Zone. From the survey, it was observed that irrigation management is not based on scientific and/or technical criteria and the volumes of water applied are usually unknown by the farmers. N is better quantified because of fertilizer costs.
