Moureanthidium, gen.n. is proposed for Dianthidium subarenarium Schwarz, 1933 and to include four new species of Anthidiine bees from Brazil, Moureanthidium paranaense, sp.n from Ponta Grossa, Paraná, Moureanthidium capixaba, sp.n. from Santa Teresa, Espírito Santo, Moureanthidium bahianum, sp.n. from Vitória da Conquista, Bahia and Moureanthidium catarinense, sp.n. from Seara, Santa Catarina. The males are characterized by the border of the seventh tergum strongly reflexed, densely hairy and with a pair of lateral projections and the third sternite with two spines or little projections at the middle, near the apex
