Frozen triturated shrimp was presented to juvenile cuttlefish either included in sausages or agglutinated with gelatine. Ingestion rates of these diets was higher or similar to the control (frozen shrimp), but values obtained are not reliable due to losses during the process of eating (cuttlefish beak macerates the piece of food and losses are considerable) and lixiviation. Acceptance of the prepared diets was good but no growth was obtained with any of the prepared diets. This was unexpected, since the shrimp did not suffer any changes besides mechanical process of maceration, and should have kept their nutritional quality.
