Design and analysis of service lift

Includes bibliographical references (leaf 32).This report discusses a detailed study of the Service Lift which can be used in the construction machinery field. One can say this lift is a mobile service lift, as it is easily assembled and transported to remote areas. This lift can be erected by bolt joint and its height can be easily increased for the required application. A solid model of the lift is created by using Solid Works 2008. Modeling starts from creating pait drawings, sub assemblies and ends at modeling of the complete machine. First, the lift foundation model was created as it holds the vertical column assembly. Then the position of the vertical column assembly is selected according to the available space on the lift foundation. Once the vertical column position is fixed, then the truss foundation assembly is created to clamp the vertical column firmly. Finally, the lift cabin is attached to the vertical column by using a rack and pinion gear train. After assembly of the complete model one can easily observe the validity of assumptions, as design brainstorming staiis from here. Using detailed design procedures these assumptions are checked for safe operation
