Includes bibliographical references (leaves 49-58)Education is a right of every American resident, but academic motivation and educational aspirations differ among adolescents. This research, as part of a larger study, examines the relations between the academic motivations and educational aspirations of adolescents from Armenian and Latino immigrant families and gender, generational status, and parents' educational levels. Data were collected from 217 number of Annenian youth and 826 number of Latino youth in the greater Los Angeles area. Differences were found in academic outcomes in light of gender and parents' education
