This exhibition is a personal exploration into why we make objects, how we\ud make them, and the meaning derived from making. This underlying foundation of making\ud is focused through the lens of the applied sciences, specifically theoretical space exploration\ud technologies and current, proven military objects. The exhibition is divided into two\ud bodies of work, shown in separate, but connected rooms.\ud There are four main methods used to create the work within the exhibition:\ud mold making and slip casting, hand building and shaping, 3D printing, and 3D CNC machining.\ud The traditional method of slip casting is used to create the currently deployed\ud militarized objects, while the theoretical space exploration technologies are cre...
