Includes bibliographical references (leaves 41-49)This study examined gender role conflict among Latinas who seek degrees in higher education. The participants were 132 Latina college students (79 undergraduate and 53 graduate students). Gender Role Conflict was assessed using the Gender Role Conflict Scale (GRCS) for females. The finding suggests that Latina undergraduate students encountered higher conflict with success, power, and competition than Latina graduate students did. While Latina students who were married or in a cohabitating relationship reported more conflict between career/school and family relationships than Latina students who were single.
