This project came about, because of the need to study the protection of electrical equipment. Voltage gives all information necessary for monitoring of a microprocessor based relay (MBR) to make a decision. It is of special impo1iance to have reliable and accurate MBR. In this project we programmed a Motorola 68HC12 microprocessor to detect a fault and respond within milliseconds
