A wind turbine/generator system is capable of harness energy from incident winds in regions close to the application with the highest wind potential. The electrical output of the generator can then be transmitted to an electrical water pumping system which can now be located away from the turbine/generator, in regions with the highest water potential. The main objectives of this project are: 1) review the relevant literature and basic formulas on wind water pumping systems. Wind turbine is the new nearly new concept and familiarity with the basic formulas would be essential and required. 2) Investigate issues relating to the sizing and selection of the turbine/generator pumps 3) Investigate suitable topologies for control and analysis of wi...
