Autonomous GPS Guided Quadcopter - Project Archangel

A project submitted to the Department of Mechanical Engineering in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the B.S. degree. Department of Mechanical Engineering ME 494The Archangel's project goal is to design an aerial vehicle that can autonomously follow a moving object at a specified relative position. The design of the Archangel is a GPS guided quadcopter, four rotor aircraft. The quadcopter adjusts in real time to follow the target using a GPS positioning system on both the object and the quadcopter. The quadcopter is manually deployed by the user then if desired the user may switch to the autonomous following mode.
