Power system voltage control through facts controllers

Various FACTS devices and their modelling and control parameters are discussed in this paper throughout Chapter one and two. This paper explains the analysis of these devices in respect to transmission line and its parameters and requirements. Chapter 1 explains various types of FACTS devices and its benefits with applications. Chapter 2 deals with basic functionality ofF ACTS devices starting from its modelling, operation of voltage source converters, and principle of shunt and series compensation along with different control techniques of compensation. Chapter 3 deals with Load flow studies using Newton Raphson method along with a MATLAB simulation of IEEE 30 bus system with and without STATCOM. The final results are compared and the voltage control is performed depending upon the conditions to satisfy the system requirements
