Understanding the everyday occurrences of Latina journalists in the newsroom is an important way of understanding how gender roles are imparted within the workplace. This study examines the experiences Latina journalists face while working in Spanish language newsrooms predominantly populated or led by males and what discrepancies they have observed are present within the workplace. In-depth interviews were conducted with five Latina journalists in the United States, all of which immigrated from either Mexico or Spain.
