An Application of technical and musical principles

Includes bibliographical references (page 16)The technical and performance problems involved in conducting a major symphonic work can be addressed through the application of a small number of fundamental conducting techniques and musical principles. Once these techniques and principles are understood they can be applied step by step to solve almost any conducting or performing problem. The first half of this paper provides a short summary of these conducting techniques and performance related issues.
