Solo guitar recital

Includes recorded audio in WAV and MP3 format, 71:21 in length.The program selected for my Graduate Recital shows a variety of the most beautiful, exciting, and technically challenging works from the repertoire available to today's pieces of the program, their composers and why they were chosen for the recital. The dance suite movements by J. S. Bach that open the program were written in 1720 as part of his Partita (Suite) BWV 997. This work is one of Bach's very few compositions the program lend themselves readily to being performed on the guitar. The majestic, calm, rhythmically simple prelude nicely contrasts with the robust joviality of the highly accentuated Gigue, followed by the Double, which is not merely a contrasting second gigue, but rather a sort of miniature variation movement based on the gigue itself.
