This course begins with an overview of terminology specific to the discipline of\ud measurement and evaluation. Various descriptive statistics will be introduced and\ud used for decision-making. The three primary measurement characteristics of\ud assessment ??? validity, reliability, and objectivity ??? will be discussed in detail, with\ud multiple opportunities for students to calculate each characteristic and determine\ud whether measurement standards have been met or what changes need to be made\ud to meet standards. The final section will explore the validity, reliability, and\ud objectivity evidence for written tests and tests of physical fitness and physical\ud activity.
