WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability Microwave Access) is a new technology to provide wireless networking service over long distance due to its high data throughput, low cost deployment, and large coverage region. The goal of this thesis work is to evaluate the capacity of mobile WiMAX in terms of supporting video applications. To achieve this goal, various simulation scenarios have been created using OPNET to measure the performance of video applications. Key parameters including end-to-end delay, jitter, and throughput are used in performance evaluation.
