I had an opportunity to\ud study the insect world closely a few years ago while\ud living in a house that was infested with a variety of\ud household pests. My sculpture project is a result of my\ud attempt to deal with that world which imposed itself upon\ud me. By enlarging and redefining it, I was able to come to\ud terms with what originally seemed an alien world. Some\ud people feel shock, dismay, or revulsion when confronted by\ud insects.
