Includes bibliographical references (pages 58-59)This paper details the design and fabrication of a prototype 32Kx24\ud bit serially reprogrammable nonvolatile program memory for a\ud high-speed airborne digital radar processor. The project included an analysis of the system requirements, a comprehensive survey of\ud available memory technology, and the design of the board hardware,\ud firmware, and programmer software. The memory components in this\ud design are proprietary custom hybrid integrated circuits. These are\ud nonvolatile random access memory (NVRAM) devices, reflecting the\ud current state of the art in high-speed electrically-alterable nonvolatile\ud semiconductor memory technology
