Health Administration Master of Science (M.S. H. A.) Annual Assessment Report to the College 2013-2014

Describes the Health Administration Master of Science (M.S.H.A.) assessment activities for the academic year 2013-2014.The Health Administration Master of Science (M.S.H.A) annual assessment report to the College for the Office of Academic Assessment. The program completed a complete review of its capstone course, HSCI 697. In response to 2012-13 indirect assessment results, the number of questions in the course???s written comprehensive examination was reduced from 8 to 6 via content consolidation, case study questions were added to the exam, a revision of the criteria for passing the exam was implemented, and the oral component of the exam was shortened. Direct and indirect assessment of two program SLOs was accomplished through the comprehensive exam (written and oral) and a post-exam student feedback form. A reduction in student failures in the exam from 3 in 2012-13 to 1 in 2013-14 is taken as indication of the success of the comprehensive exam modifications
