Sex, sexuality and autism

Currently sex education being provided to individuals with autism is limited. Although there is a need for sex education as derived from literature. There are three phases that outline the issues for sex education for these individuals. The first phase of the project involved a review of literature and discourse and sex, sexuality, and autism. The second phase consisted of 10 45-minute interviews with primary caregivers of individuals with autism. The final phase involved creating a comprehensive sex education program for individuals with autism using the information and feedback provided from the primary caregivers. By identifying the major barriers and facilitators of a sex education program for this population, I establish a go to comprehensive sex education program for primary caregivers of individuals with autism
