Includes bibliographical references (pages 45-48)This study explores the characteristics of stress defined as\ud state and trait anxiety among ten, Hispanic, married women. The following \ud variables were identified by the subjects as sources or stress;\ud acculturation, migration, marital and child relationships, and the\ud cultural implications of the Hispanic woman's role.\ud The instrument administered to determine the state and trait\ud anxiety was employed by the Spanish version of the IDARE. The analysis\ud indicates that stress was manifested significantly greater in the\ud pre test mean score and significantly lower in the post test mean\ud score, indicating a decrease in the anxiety level of this sample,\ud after six months of gr...
