Por meio dos objetivos espec?ficos buscamos compreender os desafios do trabalho docente na UFVJM; investigar os motivos individuais e/ou institucionais que acarretaram a sa?da (exonera??es, demiss?es, remo??es, redistribui??es, aposentadorias e demais desligamentos) dos professores efetivos vinculados aos cursos da FIH/UFVJM criados pelo REUNI, campus Diamantina/MG, entre os anos de 2008 a 2017; investigar os fatores que tem contribu?do para a perman?ncia dos professores efetivos lotados nos respectivos cursos da FIH/UFVJM, entre o mesmo per?odo. A pol?tica de expans?o e democratiza??o do ensino superior p?blico implementada pelo REUNI configura um novo cen?rio, inclusive para o trabalho docente nas universidades federais. Neste estudo, o docente ? analisado enquanto sujeito social, envolvido por um conjunto de rela??es territoriais, profissionais e familiares que se modificam e se reorganizam conforme o seu v?nculo institucional. Para o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa adotamos uma abordagem qualitativa de coleta de dados. Trata-se de um estudo de caso, na qual utilizou-se a pesquisa documental, entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas com os professores que atuam na FIH nos cursos criados pelo REUNI e question?rios online aplicados aos professores que n?o atuam mais na FIH/UFVJM. Os sujeitos colaboradores que participaram das entrevistas semiestruturadas ou que responderam os question?rios foram quatro professores efetivos que atuam nos respectivos cursos e sete professores efetivos que se desligaram no per?odo investigado. A discuss?o e a interpreta??o dos dados coletados foram realizadas mediante a an?lise de conte?do na perspectiva de Bardin (2011). Para an?lise dos dados criou-se as seguintes categorias: perfil dos sujeitos da pesquisa, constru??o da identidade docente, ingresso na UFVJM, trabalho docente e seus desafios, condi??es de trabalho, rotatividade e perman?ncia docente. Utilizamos como aporte te?rico os autores Filho (2007, 2011), Santos (2011), Chaui (2003), Pimenta e Anastasiou (2002), Masetto (1998, 2012), Parana?ba (2014), dentre outros. Os resultados desta pesquisa evidenciaram que tanto a rotatividade quanto a perman?ncia docente em uma universidade federal, afastada dos grandes centros urbanos, est? ligada as motiva??es individuais e todas as subjetividades que permeiam a profiss?o. Entretanto, ? importante a universidade criar a??es no sentido de minimizar os efeitos da rotatividade e conhecer de fato o seu corpo docente para buscar fortalecer as atividades de acolhimento, adapta??o e desenvolver o sentimento de pertencimento nos mesmos.Disserta??o (Mestrado Profissional) ? Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Educa??o, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2018.The purpose of this research is to investigate the teaching rotation at the Interdisciplinary Faculty of Humanities (FIH) of the Federal University of the Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys (UFVJM), in this context of expansion and internalization of federal universities. Through the specific objectives we seek to understand the challenges of teaching work in UFVJM; to investigate the individual and / or institutional reasons for dismissal (exonerations, dismissals, removals, redistributions, retirements and other dismissals) of the actual professors linked to FIH / UFVJM courses created by REUNI, campus Diamantina / MG, between the years of 2008 to 2017; to investigate the factors that have contributed to the permanence of the effective teachers who were filled in the respective FIH / UFVJM courses, between the same period. The policy of expansion and democratization of public higher education implemented by the REUNI configures a new scenario, including for teaching work in federal universities. In this study, the teacher is analyzed as a social subject, involved by a set of territorial, professional and family relations that change and reorganize according to their institutional link. For the development of this research we adopted a qualitative approach to data collection. It is a case study in which the documentary research was used, semi-structured interviews with the teachers that work at FIH in the courses created by the REUNI and online questionnaires applied to the teachers that no longer work in FIH / UFVJM. The collaborating subjects that participated in the semi-structured interviews or that answered the questionnaires were four effective teachers who work in the respective courses and seven effective teachers who left in the period investigated. The discussion and interpretation of the collected data were performed through content analysis from the perspective of Bardin (2011). In order to analyze the data, the following categories were created: profile of the subjects of the research, construction of the teaching identity, admission to the UFVJM, teaching work and its challenges, working conditions, teacher turnover and permanence. We use as a theoretical contribution the authors Filho (2007, 2011), Santos (2011), Chaui (2003), Pimenta and Anastasiou (2002), Masetto (1998, 2012), Parana?ba (2014), among others. The results of this research evidenced that both the rotation and the permanence of teaching in a federal university, away from the great urban centers, is linked to the individual motivations and all the subjectivities that permeate the profession. However, it is important for the university to create actions in order to minimize the effects of the rotation and actually know its faculty to seek to strengthen the activities of reception, adaptation and develop the sense of belonging in them
