Includes bibliographical references (pages 65-69)This study addressed some of the attitudes and coping skills of working\ud mothers. Several variables related to the success of maternal employment\ud were examined: (1) women's motivations and attitudes toward their employment;\ud (2) the emotional support they receive for employment; and (3) child\ud care arrangements. A questionnaire was administered to a sample of 52\ud women from the Los Angeles area. The majority of these women were in\ud the 31-40 age group. Most of them were white, married and had two\ud children.
