Prerequisite: Exposure to Spanish in the home and neighborhood\ud in the U.S.\ud Introduction to written Spanish and basic principles of writing.\ud Enhances awareness of cultural text produced in Spanish-speaking\ud world. Not open to native speakers (with high school diploma from\ud a Spanish speaking country) or students with credit in Spanish 201,\ud 202, 211, 282, 301, or a higher-numbered Spanish course. Replaces\ud Spanish 201 and 211 for Preparation for the Major
