A GEOMETRIA DO TÁXI: INVESTIGAÇÃO SOBRE O ENSINO DE UMA GEOMETRIA NÃO EUCLIDIANA PARA O TERCEIRO ANO DO ENSINO MÉDIO

This is a qualitative approach, developed in order to answer the question: what are the contributions that the Taxicab Geometry, associated with the Problem Solving Methodology and with the use of GeoGebra software, can provide for the construction of concepts related to Analytical Geometry by students of third year of high school? The choice for such content is due to the need to establish a relationship between what is discussed in the classroom with the reality of these students. Also, in order to facilitate understanding of concepts related to Analytical Geometry, content that present on study program of this level of education. In the first chapter we have the description of the aspects that guided the research, the problem, the justification, the purpose and characteristics of the group of students participating, as well as the context in which it was done. The second chapter presents the characteristics of the research, it is qualitative, and the instruments used for data analysis, such as questionnaires and field diary. In the third chapter there is the theoretical foundation, describes the methodology and their steps, studies realized at the Centro Univeristário Franciscano and other institutions of higher education, the Taxicab Geometry and GeoGebra. In the fourth chapter, we describe the activities and their respective analyzes. Finally, in the fifth chapter we will describe the conclusion, the contributions realized from the elaboration of the research problem.Esta dissertação é resultante de uma pesquisa realizada no primeiro semestre de 2014, com uma turma do terceiro ano do Ensino Médio do Instituto Estadual de Educação Professor Annes dias, localizado no município de Cruz Alta, Rio Grande do Sul. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo, elaborada com o propósito de responder à seguinte questão: quais as contribuições que a Geometria do Táxi, conciliada com a Metodologia de Resolução de Problemas e com o uso do software GeoGebra, pode oferecer para a construção de conceitos referentes à Geometria Analítica por alunos de terceiro ano do Ensino Médio? A escolha por tal conteúdo é decorrente da necessidade de estabelecer uma relação entre o que é abordado em sala de aula, com a realidade desses alunos, também, com o propósito de facilitar a compreensão de alguns conceitos referentes à Geometria Analítica, conteúdo esse, presente no plano de estudos desse nível de ensino. No primeiro capítulo descrevemos os aspectos que guiaram a pesquisa, o problema, sua justificativa, propósitos e características do grupo investigado, bem como o context no qual ela foi feita. O Segundo capítulo apresenta a característica da pesquisa, como qualitative e os isntrumentos utilizados para a análise dos dados, tais como questionários e diário de campo. No terceiro capítulo consta os fundamentos teóricos que norteiam a Metodologia de Resolução de Problemas, suas etapas e levantamento de estudos realizados no Centro Universitário Franciscano e outras instituições de nível superior, sobre a Geometria do Taxi e sobre o GeoGebra. Finalmente, no quinto capítullo descrevemos as conclusões e as contribuições realizadas a partir do problema de pesquisa
