The painted structure

Includes digitized images in JPEG and TIFF formats.During the past few years, through a series of works\ud dealing.with the surface and structure of the 2-dimensional\ud canvas, this body of work developed. My work\ud vacillated in emphasis from the physical nature of the\ud materials, the surface, to the structure. I was in\ud search of' a unique and individual use of materials along\ud with a new structure by which I could combine current\ud ideas. It has been an evolutionary process by which I\ud developed a structure that goes beyond the 2-dimensional\ud use of space, one dealing with illusion to one that is\ud more literal. (See more in text.
